I Know That My Redeemer Lives

I know that My Redeemer Lives. What a glorious thing to know in these last days! How utterly wasted my life would be without the sure knowledge that I have of this statement. I often find my self thinking of what my life would be like without the gospel. It is a sad picture.

My favorite hymn of the moment (which actually changes quite frequently) is "I know that my Redeemer Lives", it gives me quite a bit of peace to know all the great things that the Savior does for me and the entire world. How fantastic is it that the Savior knows everyone by name and has an infinite love for each one of us.

In Doctrine and Covenants class my professor gave this unique analogy that I have fallen in love with here it is.....

(Infinity) (Infinity)
The worth of a soul= [Atonement x Repentance+Resurrection+Missionary Work] x Joy

-Since the atonement is infinite and in math both sides of the equation have to be equivalent to each other, we can deduce that the worth of one soul is infinite to our Heavenly Father. Thus he suffers each time even one soul is lost in the darkness.

He is always willing to help us with anything that we are having trouble with and is the only person in the entire world that completely understands anything and everything we are going through in our lives.

Another really interesting tidbit that I learned in D&C class was that the only people who can know our thoughts is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I found this super interesting because I always just assumed that Satan could know our thought and that is how he got us to sin. I was wrong though, apparently my thoughts are my own and no one can know what I am thinking except for Christ and Heavenly Father.

This gives me hope that I am stronger than Satan and can overcome anything and everything that is put in my path to draw me away from the Savior and with Christ's help I can become perfect one day and return to live my Heavenly Father and Mother for eternity.
