Music For Life

I have been struggling for weeks now trying to decide on a song that basically explains my life.I have been trying really hard to come up with one and I think that I finally found one. Not really, actually I found about 50 but I have slimed this list down to 5. Here was the criteria:

1) Had to be an up beat song. Any one who knows me would understand this. Any one who doesn't know me.................... well you should!

2) Has to make people smile when they hear it. I like to make people happy, therefore my song has to make people want to listen to it not be all down and depressing!

3) Has to be a unique song. I am not a normal person.... Much to my mother's chagrin I am not a normal sweet little girl. I like to think have spunk and am my own person.

4) I have to like it... This is a pretty vague category I know but if the song is going to be about my life I better like it

So here are the 5 songs I found...............

1) 2012 by Jay Sean
2) Dynamite by Taio Cruz
3) Club Can't Handle Me
4) Tik Tok
5) Fire Burning

So if you have any opinions or songs you think of that are not on this list let me know!!!

Girls

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for

the good ones because they are afraid
falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who's brave enough
to climb
all the way
to the top
of the tree.

Hearing the Voice of the Lord

This past week end was general conference. As a kid I always remember general conference for one reason. We either got to come out to Utah or we got to go to my grand parents house. To be serious we only came out to Utah once for general conference but I still remember it. Every other time we spent basically the entire week end at my mom's parents house. We would always have tons of food and play games with her entire family. She is number 5 of 9 so there was always people around to play with.

This year I am away from my family. It is the first time in my life that I have not been with my immediate family for the April conference (my parents were out here last year for April conference). It has been a very different experience. I actually had to make the decision to watch conference and to prepare for it.

It was an amazing experience to analyze my self and try to strengthen my testimony. I even had the privilege of going to Salt Lake for the Saturday Morning Session. I can't even explain the feelings that fill the conference center as the prophet of God walks into the room. It is a spiritual uplifting just to see him sitting on the stand.

I have to admit this weekend has been so great. I have heard testimony of Jesus Christ and have strengthened my own testimony. I even took the opportunity to write down the impressions that came to me during each session. I filled page after page of notes and thoughts I was having. I am so glad that I am a member of the true church of Christ and have the opportunity to hear the Lord's will for me with the help of the Holy Ghost.

As this weekend has come to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to share my testimony.

I KNOW that my savior lives. I know that he loves us and has suffered infinite pain to have us come and live with our Heavenly Father once again. I know that Thomas S Monson is a prophet of God and speaks with the voice and power of God. I proudly sustain him and the rest of the apostles and area leaders. I know that the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and God speaks to us through it. I know that I am a child of God and he loves me more than I or anyone can comprehend. Even when I mess up he is there to lift me back up and place me back on the straight and narrow path. I am eternally grateful for the atonement and the chance it gives me to live with God and my family forever.

After this weekend I have realized that I am not a very grateful person. This is my goal to be more thankful for the blessings I receive everyday. I am going to try to see the Lord's hand in my daily life. I am also going to try to serve more. I am going to pray to the Lord to lead me to people who I can help. That way I can be an instrument in the Lord's hands.

FHE AWESOMNESS!!!!

Random is the one word that describes our FHE group this year. We are the weirdest mix of people I have ever met and yet we fit together perfectly.

So Dad came up to us the other day and told us all about our FHE activity this week. It is an oscar night with each group making up and filming their own movies.

The bad part was that there was no general theme to the movies. It could be about anything you wanted it to be. This caused problems because we all had such great ideas that we couldn't decide on just one movie. Thus our creativity came into play and we combined all our great ideas into one phenomenal movie.

Which I have to state won best music at the Oscars and will probably take over the world virally. Yes you are privileged to be seeing this. Here it is, our premiere film titled "A Day in the Life".......................................................

Gingervitus

So I read this off the internet and laughed so hard while reading it...........

here is the website: http://gingerpeople.org/what-is-gingervitis/

1) What is Gingervitus?

Gingervitus is a serious hereditary disease caused by a recessive gene. It can lay dormant for years and two perfectly healthy parents can have Ginger Babies. Gingervitus affects millions of people worldwide. The symptoms of gingervitus include: Red hair, pale skin, and freckles, a “Soulless” feeling. Some Ginger people may show symptoms such as violence and depression. Although Gingervitus is not a life threatening disease it can be very serious. There is currently no known cure and very little treatment for Gingervitus.

2) Is Gingervitis contagious?

No, Ginger people are born with Gingervitus. It is hereditary and cannot be contracted in any other way.

3) Are Ginger people dangerous?

Although some Ginger people may be dangerous, many others are not. Ginger people do have a genetic predisposition towards anger and depression, but this is caused by their appearance and often times amplified by taunting and harassment. Contrary to popular belief, many Ginger people live healthy, happy lives.

4) Do Ginger people have Souls?

Unfortunately no, Ginger people are born without souls. A common misconception is that you need a soul to survive. This is completely false. Ginger people are people just like everyone else, even if they don’t have souls. Many Ginger people live happy, healthy, productive lives devoid of any sort of soul.

5) If a Ginger Person bites me what should I do?

If you have been bitten by a Ginger Person immediately wash the wound with soap and water. If you have alcohol or peroxide apply it to the wound immediately as the effects of gingervitus on non gingers is not fully understood.

HEHEHE.... Apparently I have no soul....Who Knew????

P90X Magic

I am loosing weight!!!! I know shocker right:) Every morning at 6 AM , and sometimes 5:30 depending on the work out we are doing, I get up and work out with my amazing roommate Tairsa. I usually get out of bed and fall oon the living room floor while she is all cheery and peppy...... and I am usually cursing her in my head but I am so grateful to her for helping me to actually wake up in the morning and get stuff done.

I am amazed at the things that I can accomplish in the morning. I had no idea just how much time I was loosing while wasting away in my bed. I am also grateful to her because my pants are now falling off my body!!!!

Usually this would be a bad thing, yes I understand that. However, the silver lining is that I am loosing weight and I can actually do a pull up now!!!!!!!!!! Super exciting!!! The bad part is that none of my clothes fit quite right anymore but that just means SHOPPING TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although this particular trip is going to have to wait until after the 90 days have been completed. That way I will be able to look my best. This summer is going to be fantastic!!!!!

FHE Awesomeness!!!!

Our group is the bomb!!!! We are probably the most random mix of people I have ever met but it is fun anyways. So this past week for ward FHE, we had an Oscars night. Each group was responsible for writing, filming, and editing their own movies. Well me and my roommate Allissa were super excited because we had done this last year too and it was so much fun. The movie we did last year is the infamous Mormon girl video. (If you haven't seen it here is the link....http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=413696692455).

SO this year we knew we had to top it. I have to say I think we came close but I don't think that we topped it. This movie is way different from the last one though. It shows the totally different personalities of our entire group. Hope you like it...................

But I am very excited for our dance competition this Friday. I am definitely going to have to get sleep on Thursday night so as to dance my best. I think we have a very good chance.

This week my life has been crazy I think that when I reach Saturday I am going to be dead. There is a ward dance that night though so I want to go to that. Also I may get up to some mischief with my cousin. We shall have to see what happens.

I just keep telling myself that the Lord thinks that I can do this otherwise he would not throw so much at me at one time. So I just have to survive this next week and my life will hopefully become simpler. That is my hope at least!

I Know That My Redeemer Lives

I know that My Redeemer Lives. What a glorious thing to know in these last days! How utterly wasted my life would be without the sure knowledge that I have of this statement. I often find my self thinking of what my life would be like without the gospel. It is a sad picture.

My favorite hymn of the moment (which actually changes quite frequently) is "I know that my Redeemer Lives", it gives me quite a bit of peace to know all the great things that the Savior does for me and the entire world. How fantastic is it that the Savior knows everyone by name and has an infinite love for each one of us.

In Doctrine and Covenants class my professor gave this unique analogy that I have fallen in love with here it is.....

(Infinity) (Infinity)
The worth of a soul= [Atonement x Repentance+Resurrection+Missionary Work] x Joy

-Since the atonement is infinite and in math both sides of the equation have to be equivalent to each other, we can deduce that the worth of one soul is infinite to our Heavenly Father. Thus he suffers each time even one soul is lost in the darkness.

He is always willing to help us with anything that we are having trouble with and is the only person in the entire world that completely understands anything and everything we are going through in our lives.

Another really interesting tidbit that I learned in D&C class was that the only people who can know our thoughts is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I found this super interesting because I always just assumed that Satan could know our thought and that is how he got us to sin. I was wrong though, apparently my thoughts are my own and no one can know what I am thinking except for Christ and Heavenly Father.

This gives me hope that I am stronger than Satan and can overcome anything and everything that is put in my path to draw me away from the Savior and with Christ's help I can become perfect one day and return to live my Heavenly Father and Mother for eternity.

The glory of singing

So we made friends with this guy in apartment 33 named mike, who apparently has the hardest time waking up in the morning. His freshman year he had a roommate who would always try to wake him up and the only song that would do it was Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On. So my roommate Sydney and I made this video for him. We also in the process kept my roommates awake until past midnight and they still had this song stuck in their head the next morning. I say we did our job well!!!

Yes it's 80's night and the feelin's right!!!!!!

So my roommates are awesome and I love them!!!! Who else would carry out these crazy ideas with me?? So it is a Saturday night and we are all sitting around. What do we do?? We get dressed up in the 80's fashion and make a music video. SO MUCH FUN!!!! Anyways here is the video and hopefully you will get a kick out of it too....................

Get Up and Go

Every year my parents get one big gift for the entire family to enjoy. This year they boughta kinect for our X box 360. If you are unware of what exactly this is don't worry so was I. It is bsically the Wii for x box except you use your whole body as your controller. I wasn't sure how accurate this would be but it urns out that the sensor is extremely smart and can tell whenthere are too few or too many players in the picture, it can tel whenyou move too far to the right or left. Then it will follow you. It also happens to be a lot more fun than regular video games I think because you get to use your whole body and yor avatar does exactly everything you do (like dance crazily :). When we got this we also got the kinect sports game. I happen to relly like this one. In the game you can play against other poeple and have tournaments and stuff. The entire family had a blast playing it and these are a few of the pictures and videos we took playing. Sorry if some of the videos are sideways. I could not figure out how to turn them.
Beach Volley Ball
My parents playing beach volleyball.

My brothers Josh and Ben playing beach volleyball.

Christina and Johnny playing beach volleyball.

My parents playing each other in beach volley ball.

Christina and Johnny playing beach volley ball.

Tina and Johnnyplaying Beach Volley ball.

Soccer

This is josh and Johnny playig Soccer. All you had to do was stick your foot out to block and the other person had to pass it to their other players to shoot a goal.

Me and Ben playing Soccer. Ben kept standing in front of me so the sensor couldn't pick up when i was blocking the ball. There fore he won.

This is my brother Josh and Johnny playing soccer.

Boxing

In boxing you just had to block and hit the other person. Pretty self explainitory. This is my Dad and my brother Johnny boxing.

This is Christina and Josh boxing. Christina was coonvinced that it did better if you karate chopped instead of punching so that is what she did. Need less to say she lost....

Bowling Game

My Brother Joshua bowling. This game was harder than it looked because the lane had a slope to it so the ball was constantly going to the right if it did not have enough speed to it.

This is my brother Ben.

My Brother Nickalaus bowling.

Track and Field Game

This is the long jump. All you had to do was run in place lifting your knees up as far as you could and then jump in place with both feet off the floor. Christina thouht you actually had to stick your leg out though. It was amusing to say the least.

This is me doing the long jump.

This is me hrowing a javelin during the track meet. The fathest I got was 94.6 but that was just once. Most of the time I got around 55 meters.

So in the track game of kinect, you ave to run a 210 of hurdles. Although the higher you get your knees the faster you run. We found this out after this round. Sorry that the video is side ways but I can't figure out how to turn the picture.

After all that hard work what do you do?............DANCE!!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like christmas

One of the worst things about moving out of my huse has been missng all the decorations. Iknow that shrismas is realy about the birth of christ but one of the best parts of my childhood has always been the decorations and traditions that my mom has instilled in me. So when i first got home on the 19th, it started to feel lik christmas. Here are some of the things that make it christmas for my family:

Christmas clothes, although these socks were a new additio this year.

The Christms tree. Without it Christms would just never be the same.

Stockings and the fireplace. Although it is no buring in this picture, that always happens at christmas time.

My mom's village set. Se has been collecting for years and now has such a large collection that she can not find a place to put everything and often has to leave some stuff in the box.

Christmas cookies. This year Ben had the privlege of baing them with my assisstance. This was always my favorite memory of Christmas. Rolling out the cookie dough and cutting out the different shapes. These cookies take so much time to make that it only happens once a year usually.

That is a little taste of the Anderson christmas and of course it would not be christmas without a lot of laughter. There is always something to smile about and some thing to do wich makes the season ten times happier.

Reggie Puppy

I hve a dognamed Reggie. He is now 10 years old and we have had him since he was 8 months old. He never likes to be alone and is claustrophobic. He whines incessantly when he thinks no one is home and he never eats unless some one is in the house with him. But this christms my sister found a new tick of his. He likes to have his back patted. Here is a video of it...

My mom and I have a lot in common but one of those things is not being very good at video games. Although this never deters us from trying. So this christmas break we have been trying to beat my brothers at mario kart (one of the easier games we own). So one night we took pictures and a video of my mom. She gets way into the games and it is pretty hilarious. Although we still are not really any better than when we started but it was fun while it lasted :)

This was right after my mom won the first time

This was the score right after my mom won the first time. (yes player 1 was me)

When we finally quit that night this was the final score. Again I was player 1 and my mom was player 3.

Here is a video of her playing. HeHe :0
